As part of the international acceleration programme DiafrikInvest, an initiative co-financed by the European Union which supports more than 70 entrepreneurs in their access to African markets and their search for financing, the 2nd Business Forum in Tunisia brought together more than 250 participants: talents from the Tunisian diaspora, stakeholders of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, investors and experts who came for the occasion.

The Confederation of Corporate Citizens of Tunisia (CONECT) organised on March 10, 2022 in Tunis the 2nd edition of the Business Forum DiafrikInvest, in partnership with ANIMA Investment Network, leader of the initiative. This event aimed to connect local entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from the Tunisian diaspora supported by DiafrikInvest for several months with investors, Business Angels, investment funds and Tunisian and international large companies that attended the event. A panorama of opportunities for the beneficiaries of the programme!

CONECT and ANIMA, pioneers of diaspora mobilisation for sustainable economic and social development in Tunisia

The 2nd Business Forum DiafrikInvest backed the efforts carried over the years by the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises and ANIMA Investment Network, pioneers of supporting diaspora investment in sustainable economic and social development in Tunisia. 

The event was built around two panels that addressed the issues of Innovation and Innovative Financing Mechanisms proposed in Tunisia, during which Mediterranean and African entrepreneurs, accelerators and investors could express themselves: Expertise France, GIZ, Caisse des dépôts (CDC), General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship for Women and Young People (DER) in Senegal, United Gulf Financial Services, Afkar, Flat6Labs, M Accelerator of Marseilles, etc.).

Networking sessions and B2B & B2F meetings were also at the core of the forum, with more than 80 business meetings all over the day, allowing participants to identify investment opportunities, learn about financing, innovation and entrepreneurship, and exchange with experts who came from Africa and Europe for this high level event.

Beneficiaries of the DiafrikInvest International Acceleration Programme had the opportunity to learn from each other’s experience, to be re-energised to overcome the challenges of the entrepreneurial journey and to be inspired by their successes! Moreover, they met their mentors, high talents and experienced entrepreneurs from the Tunisian diaspora and settled in Europe (Switzerland, Italy, Germany, etc.) with whom they maintain professional relationships since several months ago as part of the mentoring programme offered by DiafrikInvest.

The Business Forum was concluded by the Woman Manager of the Year 2020 Awards Ceremony and networking dinner during which they were able to strengthen the potential partnerships and collaborations forged during the day.

A second edition with high expectations of success

The 1st edition of the DiafrikInvest Business Forum took place from 14 to 16 November 2022 in Tunis, organised on the occasion of FUTURALLIA Business Forum by CONECT, ANIMA Investment Network, ACIM, GIZ and Expertise France.
