ANIMA will participate in the EURAFRICAN FORUM 2019, a two-day exclusive High-Level Forum, to be held in Cascais (Portugal) on July 4 and 5, 2019, hosted by the Portuguese Diaspora Council and the Municipality of Cascais.

Under the theme “Partnership of Equals: Sharing Values, Sharing Prosperity”, the Forum is a networking and discussion platform underpinned on the power of Diasporas for connecting people, cities, regions and continents.

EurAfrican Forum’s event gathers prominent and influential people that are forging enduring ties between the two Continents and offers a major opportunity for networking and exchanges between government officials, high profile business personalities, investors, young entrepreneurs, activists, social influencers, NGOs and media.

 

For this edition, it is confirmed António Vitorino, Director General for the International Organization for Migrations – UN Migration Agency (IOM) will address a keynote about the migration dialogue between Europe and Africa.

António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General, will share a special video message.

The Forum will also receive Filipe Nyusi, Presidency of the Republic of Mozambique, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, Augusto Santos Silva, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Carlos Carreiras, Mayor of Cascais, as well as a special video message from António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General.

 

Emmanuel Noutary, General delegate of ANIMA will also participate as a speaker.

 

In its first edition, the EurAfrican Forum was attended by more than 400 participants, including the attendance of government officials from Angola, Algeria, Benin, Cape Verde, Egypt, Senegal, Kenya and Tunisia.
